Pernille Erenbjerg

I am vice-chairperson for the Board of Directors of Millicom, a company that provides television, broadband and mobile solutions in Central and Latin America. I am also a board member and chairman of the audit committee in Genmab A/S, an international biotech company that, with a head office in Copenhagen, conducts research for the development of cancer treatments. I am furthermore a member of the board and two board committees at Nordea as well as adjunct Professor at the Institute for Strategy and Innovation at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS), where I have participated in the Gender Diversity Roundtable in Denmark since its outset.

Until December 2018 I was the CEO of the TDC Group. I spent more than 15 years in various management positions at TDC, whereby I gained a great deal of experience in focusing on customer needs, technology and digitalization. The experience involved major strategic shifts and transformations in business models that have been necessary for the modernization and development of businesses that are increasingly exposed to competition from new digital companies. For such transformation, courage, vision and innovation are indispensable in attracting and inspiring both customers and employees.

I am passionate about technology and all that technology can do for people, including the opportunities for business and unique challenges that technology brings with it. In this context the content and media industry in particular has my interest, as it is industry that has a huge impact on people’s dreams and ideas.

I have had great pleasure from the discussions at the Gender Diversity Roundtable Denmark, and I have been just as active in other contexts in promoting inclusion and diversity. I am particularly interested in the question of how to create a digital future that is more inclusive, including how to ensure that women also play a role in both design and the construction of digital solutions – for the best of all. I view inclusion and diversity as a strategic challenge and an opportunity, both for the individual company and for society as a whole. I am delighted to have brought attention to this perspective in the book.

I am married and have three children. We have our base in Copenhagen, where you can encounter me running alongside the water and in the city’s parks – often in the company of family and good friends.
