I graduated with honors in both the M.Sc. in Management Engineering from Technical University of Denmark and the B.Sc. in Management Engineering from Polytechnic of Milan. I am partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), transformation expert and Nordic lead for social impact at BCG, focusing on societal progress. I am global expert on Societal Impact, Sustainability, Food Waste & Loss, Diversity & Inclusion and integration. Member of BCG’s Social Impact global practice, and expert in supply chain operations (efficiency programs, digitizing the core, i4.0), People & Organization, and Strategy across industries.
I am the founder of BCG’s social impact committee in Denmark and is a NGO board and advisory board member.
I have co-authored a global flagship report in 2018 on Food Loss and Waste Tackling the 1.6-Billion-Ton food loss and waste crisis, focusing on the role of the private sector in progressing towards the achievement of SDG 12.3, and I am co-author of a global report on Total Societal Impact What Companies Can Learn from World Leaders in Societal Impact sharing practices globally on how the private sector can be catalyst for societal progress and impact, while improving shareholders’ returns. I am the author of a number of Danish reports on gender diversity and driver behind the Gender Diversity Roundtable with 15+ leaders in Denmark (genderdiversity.dk).
I have participated in two of BCG’s global programs: The Ambassador program in 2015 (Chile), and the Social Impact Immersion program in 2012/2013 (in Mozambique, London and Rome working with UN’s WFP and Save the Children International).
I believe that diversity needs to be seen as a force of value and an imperative behind societal and business advancement. Dronningens nye klæder provokes Danes in thinking about gender diversity in a way that many struggle to see, not as a polarizing women vs. men narrative, but as an underlying need for our society to advance and re-structure policies and rules to change cultural norms and believes to get the full value of our talent pipeline in society.
Before BCG, I worked in wide-ranging international environments, including in Vestergaard Frandsen in Vietnam, where I developed a production management, monitoring and reporting system for emergency and response and disease control products.
I speak fluently Italian, Spanish and English, skilled in Portuguese and Danish. I currently leaves in Denmark, is married to Marie Louise and have two kids, Gaia Ida and Storm Carlos.
